What is the role?

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Performance Marketing Manager to join our innovative Commercial department on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for planning and delivering a range of paid social, online display and PPC marketing campaigns aimed at driving direct revenues, as well supporting our range of official partners meet their marketing goals, via our audiences and platforms.

Working closely with the Head of Direct Marketing, Data & Analytics and alongside Marketing and CRM teams the Performance Marketing Manager will develop, deliver and continually optimise season-long digital marketing campaigns across retail, ticketing, hospitality and partnership marketing.

What are we looking for?

To thrive in this role, you will have a strategic mindset and be obsessed with experimentation and striving for better results, while also being very hands on building and managing the campaigns on a day-to-day basis. You will have a passion for data and be very comfortable with analytics tools to understand our customer journeys, identifying purchase barriers and then building tests and measurement frameworks to quantifiably move the dial.

Ideally you will come from a digital, performance or media agency background, having hands on experience with digital tools is a must.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

  • Experience building strategies for but not limited to paid social and ppc.

  • Building campaigns in FB and google Ads & implement tracking, data capture & measurement plans – implementing GA tracking, UTM frameworks, Facebook pixel, Facebook custom audiences.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of managing multi audience and target campaigns.

  • Experience in, or a passion for the sports / football industry.

Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

  • Educated to at least degree level in a related subject or equivalent in experience.

Essential Skills:

  • A good problem solver, can figure out the best way to achieve objectives.

  • An analytical way of thinking, navigate the choices logically and systematically, testing different approaches and comparing the outcomes and adjusting accordingly.

  • Understanding and track customer journeys, identify purchase barriers and develop tactics to overcome them and optimise conversion rate.

  • Strategic mind – building and managing the campaigns on a day-to-day basis.

  • Confident with numbers and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills in order to provide technical complex information effectively.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Proactive work ethic with an eagerness to learn and develop.
